Residents said that some citizens left their homes after receiving a monthly rent of 300 manats

Houses are being demolished in another part of Baku Demolition of one- and two-story houses has started in Sabunchu district of Baku city. At present, the demolition is being carried out at the addresses of houses 39, 41 and 43, Sabunchu settlement, Ishakhanyanyan street. Residents said that some citizens left their homes after receiving a monthly rent of 300 manats. Negotiations are underway with citizens who do not want to move. In response to Trend's inquiry, Sabunchu District Executive Authority stated that, as in other districts of Baku, in Sabunchu District, works are being carried out in the direction of relocating residents from dilapidated residential buildings that have expired and demolishing the buildings and building new multi-apartment buildings in their place. The relocation and demolition of the residential buildings located at 39, 41 and 43, Hospital Khanyan Street, Sabunchu settlement, has started. Based on mutual agreement, it is planned to provide the residents with fully renovated apartments from the multi-apartment residential buildings that will be built in accordance with modern standards on the site of those buildings, and to give appropriate compensations to the residents who refuse the apartment. Residents will be paid 1,000 manats per square meter.
